Jacques Duphly: Pièces pour clavecin
Christophe Rousset
AP043 - 2CD - 126 - Oct 16, 2012

Christophe Rousset is a world-renowned artist. Harpsichordist, conductor and musical director of the ensemble "Les Talens Lyriques", he has established himself as one of the greatest interpreters of Baroque music.

His first two harpsichord recordings, released by Aparté (Louis Couperin and Bach Fantasy), received numerous distinctions (Diapason d'or, Choc Classica, BBC Magazine...) and were warmly received by the public.

In this new recording, Christophe Rousset paints a portrait of Jacques Duphly: "With this recording, we have attempted to restore his virility, the gravity of certain features, the sincerity of his gesture, all considerably inspired by the magnificent Kroll harpsichord, kindly made available by its owner and restorer Marc Ducornet."
