An independent, human-scale label, Aparté was founded in 2008 by Nicolas Bartholomée, a passionate sound engineer. Every Aparté recording bears his signature, whose distinctive character has been highlighted by music critics. With a catalogue of more than 300 releases, many of them award-winning, the label has forged strong and strategic relationships with its artists through the quality of its listening and support, as well as the particular attention it devotes to sound.
Among the leading artists who have placed their trust in Aparté are Christophe Rousset and Les Talens Lyriques, Ophélie Gaillard, Cyrille Dubois, Andreas Scholl, Karine Deshayes, Marina Viotti, conductors Mathieu Romano and Maxim Emelyanychev, as well as more recent additions to the Aparté family, such as violinist Manon Galy and pianist Simon Bürki.
