Romain Leleu
Romain Leleu

Romain Leleu is one of the most distinctive trumpeters of his generation. Trained in Paris and Germany, he quickly stood out for his radiant musicality and remarkable virtuosity, giving his first solo concert at the age of 14.

A curious and daring artist, he moves freely between the Baroque repertoire, contemporary creation, and transcriptions that transcend stylistic boundaries. His work contributes to renewing and expanding the trumpet repertoire, inspiring many of today’s composers.

Founder of the Romain Leleu Sextet, he explores original formats combining trumpet and strings, revisiting both classical masterpieces and works drawn from popular music. He also develops a close artistic dialogue with his brother, tuba player Thomas Leleu, within the Leleu Brothers Duo.

A sought-after soloist, Romain Leleu performs on major international stages, both in recital and with orchestra, and is deeply committed to sharing his art through teaching and masterclasses. His recordings have met with wide critical and public acclaim, affirming a singular artistic voice that is both demanding and accessible.
