A graduate of the Geneva University of Music, The Juilliard School in New York, the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, and the Basel Academy of Music, Jansen Ryser is a laureate of the Kiefer Hablitzel Göhner Music Prize and has performed throughout Europe.

He has been invited to appear both as a soloist and chamber musician at numerous festivals, including the Verbier Festival, the Gstaad Menuhin Festival, the Lavaux Classic Festival, the Week-End Musical de Pully, the Plovdiv International Chamber Music Festival, Les Jardins Musicaux in Cernier, Vienna Young Pianists, Art et Musique de Sierre, and the Montperreux Opera Festival.

A regular orchestral soloist, Jansen Ryser made his debut at the age of fifteen on the prestigious stage of the Menuhin Festival in Gstaad, and later, in 2014, at Geneva’s Victoria Hall.

A dedicated chamber musician, he was recently given carte blanche by the Art Association for a series of three concerts bringing together nine musicians at the Salle Paderewski in Lausanne. These performances were recorded and broadcast on Espace 2 as part of Jan Nehring’s program “Nouveaux Talents.” His long-standing collaboration with soprano Sophie Negoïta has also led them to stand out at the International Lili and Nadia Boulanger Competition in Paris.

Jansen Ryser is a recipient of cultural grants from the Leenaards Foundation and the Dénéréaz Foundation.
