Giulio Biddau is a young Italian pianist with a sensitive, inhabited touch. Aldo Ciccolini, his teacher, suggested that he should record Gabriel Fauré's complete Barcarolles, which he sublimates with his poetic interpretation. He adds to this a little-recorded work by Fauré, Thème et variations, a major score by the composer.
Winner of the Spedidam competition in Aix-en-Provence, Giulio performs regularly on major European stages. This first recording bears witness to his exceptional qualities, and places him among the great Italian pianists of tomorrow.
