about

This recording will surprise the listener with the unheard-of nature of its repertoire: the legacy of anonymous lineages of musicians from different regions of Spain. It is dedicated to a music that has disappeared, a music that was still alive in the middle of the last century, a specific repertoire rich in history and variety, transmitted orally from generation to generation: the common repertoire of all rural Spanish people.

It was the beauty of this heritage of traditional Spanish music that brought together the three members of Vox Suavis, who are very active in medieval repertoires. They have embarked on a process of reconstruction, appropriating the repertoire of the masters of popular culture, with the aim of transmitting it in a lively and convincing rendition.

A poetic and inspiring musical voyage in the warm colors of Spain.
